Scratch fertilizer into the soil around the plants once in the spring when plants begin putting on new growth and once when plants finish bearing fruit-typically late August. When transplanting, mix fertilizer into the soil around the plants and between planting rows. 1 lb covers 100 sq. ft.Coverage:New Plantings: When transplanting, apply at a rate of 1 lb. Strawberries Alive! per 100 sq. ft. Scratch the food into the soil.Existing Plantings: In the spring when plants begin putting on new growth, broadcast at a rate of 1 lb.
